Prepare for a sci-fi adventure featuring the Doctor! Except... it's not the Doctor! Actor Patrick Troughton can be heard in today's Before The Screaming Begins, a three-part 1977 audio series about a wife who reports the abduction of her husband during their wedding anniversary celebrations - except the local police are decidedly doubtful. But then more and more abductions are reported... This alien invasion tale was written by English writer Wally K Daly.
Before The Screaming Begins will air Monday 10th to Wednesday 12th October 2011 at 6pm (repeated Midnight) on BBC Radio 4 Extra.

Wally K. Daly also wrote the 1989 Doctor Who novel The Ultimate Evil (published by Target Books), featuring the Sixth Doctor and Peri and based on a cancelled script from the 1986 season.
