Digital station BBC Radio 4 Extra is to broadcast the Doctor Who audio series Hornet's Nest, starring Tom Baker, Richard Franklin and Susan Jameson. The 2009 series, originally released on CD and download in 5 parts, will be transmitted in ten thirty minute installments across two weeks.The saga, penned by Paul Magrs, is the first of three series featuring the fourth Doctor. It begins with Mike Yates, former UNIT Captain and associate of the third Doctor, answering a mysterious newspaper advert and travelling to the mysterious Next Cottage in Sussex. There he finds the Doctor and his housekeeper Mrs Wibbsey in a spot of bother with some feisty stuffed animals and a few tall tales to tell.
Hornets' Nest will air Radio 4 Extra on weekdays from 12th - 16th and 9th - 23rd December at 6 PM.
